Hakatai recently launched an addition to its recycled content collection. With the new Calliope series, architects, designers and homeowners now have an exciting surfacing option for areas that need a little something special. Like a vase of fresh flowers, this colorful series of 5/8” x 5/8” tile rejuvenates its surroundings. Suitable for interior and exterior use, the Calliope series is available in nine garden-inspired colors including Ivory, Honeysuckle, Buttercream, Truffle, Parasol, Hydrangea, Evening Blue, Waterlily and Garden. The translucent and opaque tiles have delicate swirls of color throughout, giving a beautiful blended look to the series. Most colors in the series have a slight iridescent sheen, adding soft radiance to any application. Ideal for walls, countertops, backsplashes, light residential floors and pools, these floral gems add a touch of light and air to any space. Tile is mounted on mesh backing for easy installation.
All tile in the Calliope series is comprised of approximately 50 percent glass from bottles and/or other waste glass that would otherwise have entered the solid waste stream. This waste glass is a mix of approximately 90 percent post-consumer and 10 percent pre-consumer material.
